Permissions for Tu Shanshu

Penny is a psychic.
Per his app:
As a general discipline, Penny is a psychic and is able to read minds. Most magicians have wards up to protect their minds and Penny generally tries to avoid reading minds anyway. In Tu Shanshu, he'll only be able to read minds when he actively tries (at which point obviously player permission is needed), not to get stray surface thoughts from characters (unless requested).
It’s possible for another psychic to reach out to Penny and he will hear their voice in his head. He hates it and will self-medicate to prevent it, but it does work.
Please comment here if:
(1) your character is also a psychic and you want to play with that
(2) your character should be immune (or you would like them to be)
(3) your character is highly susceptible (or you would like them to be)
(4) you have a plot idea involving Penny's psychicness

For Tektite first:
(1) Tektite is not psychic in the sense she can read minds, but she is a telepath and thus, can project her voice into the minds of others. She would be excited at the idea of a character that could reply to her, yet I doubt he would like her intrusion, rofl. If you want to do something playing around with that, I'd be game. I do not currently have a plot in mind but I can try to think of something. (Last bit applies to either character really.)
(3) I'd say Tektite would be highly susceptible. She does have a secondary consciousness along for the ride, named Moldavite. He would be free to try to talk to her but Tektite would probably get defensive. I'm curious if his abilities allow him to affect the minds of others? Could be interesting if he was inclined to get Moldavite to front. Just throwing ideas out there.
Sanzo:
(1) Even more of a gray area and more a question for you. Sanzo is an Empath. He can't read minds but he can oftentimes gauge the general feelings of someone else, or very least an idea of their intentions. He can also often gauge if someone is magically powerful or not because of this. He's untrained, however, so it's faulty, I was curious if you're okay with Sanzo being able to tell anything from him if they interact? It would all depend on what you put in your replies, to be fair.
(3) I'm going to say that Sanzo being rather mentally open as an Empath with no mental shields/wards, would be highly susceptible to the physic abilities. Potential aggression could happen as a result of him finding out his thoughts are being read, however. Okay, to be honest, he's always aggressive.

Unless you want to teach him to block it or something.

Will Stanton | Dark is Rising Sequence
Will is definitely a psychic something. Canon has him reacting to the feel of magic, whether Light or Dark or Wild, sending and receiving thoughts and images with others of his kind, engaging in mental combat with the villains of his canon, and even sealing memories away in other minds. I would definitely be interested in working out some psychic shenanigans with him.
Danny Fenton | Danny Phantom
Danny is not psychic, but canon implies that he has partial immunity against some mental attacks. This is due simply to the fact that his mind isn't really one thing or another. General psychic attacks against humans miss him because he is part ghost. Attacks meant for ghost minds miss him because he is part human. But if the power of the attack is turned up he can be affected.
Danny does have a limited dreamwalking ability, but I don't really count it as psychic, since he does it by physically entering someone's dream.
Conan Edogawa | Detective Conan
Not psychic. Not immune. Has spent most of his life proving that all psychics are hoaxes.

So really... if it comes to that, there are canon hints for whichever way we want to spin it!

(1) Not psychic in the least, but once Zelos actually finishes his angel transformation he'll be able to talk in peoples' heads by literally transmitting a thought directly into someone else's mind. It's one-way only, just a method of talking silently and making himself understood anyway, but I feel like a little fun could be had there. :3
(2) Deeeeeefinitely not immune.
(3) Yeah, he'd be especially susceptible. It doesn't look like there's any such thing as mind-reading in his canon, so he has no mental defences whatsoever, and the way he acts every day is completely opposite to how he feels every day, so I imagine all it would take is a small prod and holy shit dude
(4) Penny hates hearing other voices in his head
Zelos will very likely freak out at the idea of someone reading his mind
???
Profit!

John is definitely not immune to someone like Penny and he's seen a lot of horrible things. As in, has nightmares so that's probably going to be a thing Penny might pick up on at some point. For the moment John doesn't particularly sleep much and is gone for a good portion of the day so it's probably not as terrible as it could be.

2/3) Valdis isn't immune, or more susceptible than others, but unless Penny wants to have a conversation with a seven headed serpent, he might not want to try.
4) That said, it still might be fun. For us anyway.

2) naaaaah. go for it.
3) like Zelos, she doesn't come from a world with much in the way of necessary mental defenses. So feel free to touch as much as you like. Will note that Raine's mind is fairly well-organized; I don't know if that will help or hinder.

2/3) She does have some mental defenses, however she needs to be aware of the intrusion and they are manually triggered. That said, that could be fun.
4) There are a couple of secrets China will kill to keep. Keeliai may force her to get creative. If you want to play with that at all, the option is open.
... 2.5?
China does an emotional manipulation magic thing, for which the permissions are here if you are a concern. I don't know how this would affect Penny, or if you would prefer to opt out, but it could also wind up being something fun to play with between their various difficulties.
I feel like I remember them having an entertaining thread or two.

No particular resistances or abilities in that particular regard.

2) Definitely not immune~
3) Probably no more susceptible than anyone else.
Very recently Fai's had someone he cared about rip all of his most painful, private memories out to show his friends, so if he realizes his mind is being read he will probably panic a bit. Or a lot. Probably a lot. So we should do that ;)

Being technically dead, that might also make Devin seem mentally a bit alien? Yay vampires. Devin's also got a dormant fragment of an angel in him, so if Penny dug in deep, he'd hit an absolute wall. Which could be interesting to explore, although might result in a lot of yelling among other things.

No mental blocks, but he might get some interference from the Ring. Penny might also pick up on the Kul Elna ghosts and if we really wanna get plotty, on Zorc as well. Try having a miasma of 99 really angry voices + evil demon god in your head.
Elizabth
Completely baseline as far as psychic things go! Open to anything. He might learn about Tears that way, which she's been keeping from everyone.
Jack
So Jack actually got some mental shielding training from Kyle Rayner a billion years ago (in like 2013) in game. BUT that's been a long time, he doesn't keep those shields up all the time. But once he realizes Penny's in his head, he can probably close himself off.

Bucky was brainwashed for seventy years. They flayed his brain over and over, making sure that he remained compliant and their perfect soldier. That means there's a ton of psychic scarring around his mind and makes it virtually impossible to penetrate. It also makes it impossible for thoughts to slip out.
Reading his mind will take effort, and probably physical touch. It's that screwed up. Not to mention that he's got memories in there that he still cannot access at will.
