Hello, Penny. My name is Cheym; I work with some of the kedan outside the city on agriculture and the like. You've been in Keeliai for some time, correct?
Mostly because it's my job to care, I suppose. I know some aspects of Keeliai can be especially strange for Foreigners, particularly some of our food options. I was just wondering if you had any particular favorites of yours had been in short supply due to our recent challenges with the weather.
Anzu was still trying to figure out her way around the city, but this area had looked reasonably friendly in the daylight. But now the sun was going down, and she hadn't had much luck in figuring out how to get back where she was supposed to be.
She'd spied Penny and thought she could at least get directions, but it looked like she'd interrupted him doing something.
"Sorry for disturbing you," she said. "I'm a little lost. Which way is the middle of the city again?"
Penny looked over to the girl who'd interrupted his practice, offering her an arrogant smile when he noticed that she wasn't all that bad looking. It was basically his default expression in between eye rolls and stupid faces to express how ridiculous the people around him were, but he was pretty sure she was at least eighteen and that helped.
"I'll walk with you." He stretched as he spoke, glancing from the slightly burned stump and back to the girl again. Penny dropped his hands by his side and started walking in the direction he was pretty sure the city was. Having traveled to get here most of the time, he wasn't entirely positive, but wouldn't let that stop him.
"What brought you all the way out here?" He asked lightly. Although she was attractive and Penny could be a flirt, he wasn't a creeper, giving her a light nod of the head to encourage her to join him and otherwise not looking at her overly much.
"Thanks," Anzu returned his smile, also glancing at the burned stump. She'd missed the actual infliction of that state, not realizing that he was the one responsible for it. After some of the other things she'd seen in the city so far, like the fire fountains, she couldn't tell if maybe the smoldering stump was normal or not.
"I was riding the tram," she said with an embarrassed laugh. "I thought I'd understood the directions someone gave me, but then I got farther and farther out. Then I decided to ask for more directions, and there wasn't anyone else around, so..."
